Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field. Some employers may prefer a Master’s degree or equivalent experience.
Previous experience in technical sales, engineering, or a similar customer-facing role is typically required.
Strong technical background and understanding of engineering principles, particularly in the relevant industry or field (e.g., mechanical, electrical, software).
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with customers, partners, and internal teams.
Responsibilities:
Identify and cultivate sales opportunities by researching and understanding customer needs, industry trends, and competitive offerings.
Serve as a technical expert and consultant to customers, providing product demonstrations, technical presentations, and solutions-based recommendations.
Collaborate with sales teams to develop and execute sales strategies, including prospecting, lead generation, and customer engagement.
Build and maintain relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction.
Prepare and deliver technical proposals, quotes, and bids in response to customer inquiries and RFQs (Requests for Quotation).
